To ensure the Iowa Environmental Council board remains vigorous and responsive to our mission, the nominating committee wants to ensure the process of selecting new members assures openness, diversity of demographics and viewpoints. Through the nominating process we seek to recruit individuals whose commitment, skills, life experience, background, and perspective will serve the Council positively. Openings on the board may occur at any time. Therefore, we are reaching out to individual and organizational members, supporters and board members to recommend candidates to our pool of potential board members. Composition of the Council’s 21-member board of directors, (as outlined in the bylaws) consists of twelve (12) organizational members and nine (9) individual members.
