Next Tuesday, March 22, individual Iowans and over 30 organizations from across the state will join together for Environmental Lobby Day and REAP Day at the Capitol 2016. Together, they will advocate for sustainable funding, programs and policies that promote a healthy environment and continued clean energy leadership.

The event, which is sponsored by the Iowa Environmental Council and Iowa REAP Alliance, will provide an opportunity for participants to speak face-to-face with legislators, share their story and help show there is a broad base of support for conserving Iowa’s natural resources and growing wind, solar and energy efficiency in the state.

Fully funding Iowa’s Resource Enhancement and Protection Program (REAP), funding the Natural Resources and Outdoor Recreation Trust Fund, securing funding for critical conservation programs, and expanding clean energy tax incentives will be priority asks at this year’s event.
