| Pat Boddy is a licensed engineer and directs Polk County Conservation. PCC oversees 12,000 acres of parkland and trails including an Equestrian Center, golf course, and Jester Park Lodge, a popular rental facility. Ongoing work for PCC includes prairie and wetland restoration, outdoor skills building programs, environmental education, expansive volunteer programs, water quality and energy-saving improvements throughout the Polk County system. PCC facilities support 1.4 million visitors each year. Prior to taking on the director’s role at PCC, Boddy spent 15 years as President of her own successful communications business, Boddy Media Group, earning an Emmy and national awards for her video productions. Since 1982, Boddy has also served Iowa Public Television as interviewer and host. Boddy has a B.J. (Journalism) from University of Missouri-Columbia, B.S.
