IOWA ENVIRONMENTAL COUNCIL COOPERATOR MEMBERS

As an alliance of diverse organizations and individuals, the Council works with all Iowans to protect our natural environment. We seek a sustainable future through shaping public policy, research and education, coalition-building, and advocacy.

We invite you to join us.

Governmental and quasi-governmental organizations joining the Council are those concerned with conservation of, or education about, natural resources. They are dedicated to the management of natural resources according to sound ecological principles. Cooperators are not eligible to select directors, but may participate in Board meetings in a non-voting capacity.

Cooperators may join the Council on an annual basis for $100.

As a Cooperator you will also have the opportunity to interact with a wide range of environmental groups and individuals, sit on issues committees for the Council, and strengthen the environmental movement in Iowa. Additional benefits include regular communication from the Council, the opportunity to share information about your organization in our publications, and the annual conference.

To become a cooperator member, an organization will need to submit printed information on its mission, goals, and programs to share with the Executive Committee of IEC. The Executive Committee will approve cooperator member applications. Before applying for a cooperator membership, you may request a packet of materials from IEC to share with others in your organization.
