Community to celebrate clean water at Pro H2O

September 29, 2014 (DES MOINES, IA) – More than 100 people have already made plans to make a splash with the Iowa Environmental Council at Pro H2O, the local non-profit’s upcoming community event celebrating clean water, and all Iowans that care about our state’s lakes, rivers and streams are invited to join them.
The inaugural event, which will be held on October 8 at the Science Center of Iowa, invites attendees to play with their water, be wowed by the science fair and learn how they can make a difference and ensure clean water in Iowa.

Tickets are $25 per person and are available at www.iaenvironment.org

The evening will also feature hors d’oeuvres from Gateway Market, a full service bar, water-related science fair, special address by Des Moines Water Works CEO and General Manager Bill Stowe, and music entertainment provided by local musical act, MAIDS.


Since the founding nearly 20 years ago, the Council in partnership with its members, has made improving the quality of Iowa’s rivers, streams, lakes and wetlands a top priority.
