2019 Legislative Session

Iowa's 2019 Legislative Session opens on January 14, 2019. The Iowa Environmental Council has a full slate of priorities for energy, water, and climate that we will be pushing at the Capitol, which were developed with the input of our partners, stakeholders, and members.

Our staff, trained lobbyists, and volunteers and stakeholders will be at the Capitol every day tracking bills, building coalitions, gathering stakeholders, and advancing the protection of Iowa's environment.

IEC Legislative Events

Legislative Day
IEC will host a new Legislative Day at the Capitol on February 5, 2019. Details and registration information coming soon.

Lobby Day

Each year, IEC hosts individuals and organizations from across the state at the Iowa State Capitol for Environmental Lobby Day and REAP Day. Environmental Lobby Day takes place on March 21, 2019. Details and registration coming soon.
