Join the Center for Rural Affairs and Iowa Interfaith Power & Light for a Rural Energy Field Day on June 10th, 2022 from 10 AM to 1 PM to learn more about the opportunities and benefits of renewable energy on your properties. This free field day will be at the Griffieon Family Farm, 11655 NE 6th St, north of Ankeny, Iowa. Lunch will also be served.
Much of the event’s focus will be on solar energy and will include a tour of the Griffieon Family Farm’s solar array with Cory Novak of CB Solar, the company that installed the array.
Following the tour, there will be presentations from Steve Guyer from the Iowa Environmental Council on the state of renewable energy in Iowa and its importance to rural communities, and Joel Fassbinder, a solar beekeeper who runs Highlandville Honey Farm. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions.
For more information on the event, email Nick Summers at: nicks@cfra.org, or call 402.687.2100 ext. 1016. RSVP’s for the event are appreciated.
