Join Green Iowa Americorp's Katie Bowden, Ava Hohn and Amelia Whitener as they talk about their experience with Iowa Rivers Revival's Service Squad at the Des Moines Izaak Walton League Tuesday, July 18. The Service Squad Program just received a large grant from Polk County to conduct river cleanups each year for the next three years. As a result IRR has relaunched the program to help plan and support river cleanups each year across the state. Our rivers and streams are irreplaceable natural resources that can serve as a tool of economic development and talent retention and attraction. Admission for the talk at 6:45 pm is FREE and open to the public! Doors open at 5:30, with dinner available beginning at 6
