Tune in LIVE to a panel discussion of Farmers Union members as they gather in Washington D.C. for the first night of our 2022 Legislative Fly-In.
Legislative Fly-In is an event where 300-400 Farmers Union members from across the nation come to Washington D.C. to hear from U.S. Department of Agriculture and White House officials and learn from Congressional leaders about key preparations being made for the 2023 Farm Bill. The most important agenda item of the fly-in, however, is in-person meeting with legislators, which are a hallmark of our organization's grassroots structure, to highlight our priorities, the challenges we are facing, and goals for future legislation.
The panel will feature Joshua Manske (Iowa Farmers Union), Akello Karamoko (Michigan Farmers Union), Laici Neumann (Oklahoma Farmers Union), and Kaiea Medeiros (Hawaii Farmers Union) and will be moderated by Tommy Hexter (Iowa Farmers Union). We will discuss Farmers Union policy priorities and the stories that our members will share with their Congresspeople to help achieve them.
