Learn about the risks of coal ash contamination, particularly in communities like Council Bluffs that are located near disposal sites. Coal ash, a toxic byproduct of burning coal, has numerous health and environmental consequences. Iowans who live near coal-burning plants deserve to understand the risks, have access to air and water testing, and learn how to advocate for stronger protections.
Join us November 5 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Council Bluffs Public Library to learn about coal ash, ask questions, and talk with neighbors.
Attendance is free and open to the public, but registration is appreciated.
