State Senator Rob Hogg of Cedar Rapids is hosting special guest, Presidential candidate and Washington State Governor Jay Inslee, for the first in a series of climate conversations with Presidential candidates on bringing Americans together for climate action on Saturday, June 8, starting at 6:00 p.m. at the Overlook Pavilion at Ellis Park in Cedar Rapids.
This is an opportunity to listen to Governor Inslee's ideas for bringing Americans together to take the climate action we so urgently need. Citizens will have the opportunity to ask questions and talk individually with Governor Inslee about climate change and related issues for health, jobs, the environment, and sustainability. The program will be moderated by Senator Hogg.
Other candidates are being invited and scheduled for events later in the series.
Please feel free to invite others who might be interested. There is no cost to attend. Light refreshments will be provided. No alcohol is allowed at Overlook Pavilion.
