Join the Des Moines Izaak Walton League for their annual fishing and camping trip to Iowa's beautiful Lake Rathbun Wednesday, May 15 through Saturday, May 18! Rathbun is a great Crappie fishery, plus Catfish, Bass and Walleye! We'll be at Bridgeview Campground, Campsite B, south of Melrose, IA. Camp sites and electric campsites are a available on a first come first served basis. All fees must be Paid in Advance, and cost is for meals is $20, which includes a Biscuits and Gravy breakfast each morning plus a Cookout on Saturday night!
They'll have a Crappie Fishing Contest Saturday, May 18 with a $5 entry fee per person (Paid in Advance). 1st and 2nd places will be paid for the Longest Crappie measured by 5 p.m. that day. Crappies entered MUST be caught in Rathbun, fish from ponds or other lakes are ineligible.
