Victoria DeVos, Naturalist with the Plymouth County Conservation Office, will
lead a Walk & Talk (less than one mile) on an unpaved trail from the parking area off
Hwy 12 up to a cabin atop a hill overlooking the Big Sioux.

Learn about the 964 acre Five Ridge Prairie, a dedicated state preserve in western
Plymouth County, exemplifies the northern loess bluffs of western Iowa with a mixture of oak
timbered valleys, native prairie ridge tops and west facing slopes. This unique loess landform
site is home to several state threatened and endangered plant and animal species.
Event amenities: NO RESTROOM FACILITIES AVAILABLE ONSITE.
