EPA’s Guidance for Developing and Maintaining a Service Line Inventory supports water systems with their effort to develop and maintain a service line inventory and to provide states with needed information for oversight and reporting to EPA. Inventories are key to knowing where sources of lead exposure occur in drinking water and are a useful tool for water systems to plan for lead pipe replacement projects that can be funded with $15 billion for lead service line replacement through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL). BIL funding can be used for lead service line replacement projects and associated activities directly connected to the identification, planning, design, and replacement of lead service lines, including development of service line inventories themselves.
It is EPA's policy to make reasonable accommodation to persons with disabilities wishing to participate in the Agency's programs and activities, pursuant to the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, 29 U.S.C. 791. Any request for accommodation should be made to Yvonne Gonzalez or Michael Goldberg at Gonzalez.Yvonne@epa.gov or Goldberg.Michael@epa.gov in advance of the webinar.
