Sonita served as a Clean Energy Field Organizer for 100% Iowa from 2021-2022. She helped to expand on the state’s clean energy movement through community engagement, outreach, and education. Sonita has experience in environmental education, environmental advocacy, and public outreach, along with a deep commitment to environmental justice. She holds a B.A in Environmental Sustainability and Resilience with a minor in Rhetoric Media and Social Change from Drake University.
