The Corporate Clean Energy Procurement Index has ranked Iowa #1 overall among states for facilitating business purchases or ownership and production of renewable energy. Iowa's top score beat neighboring Illinois as well as New Jersey, California, and Texas in the top five.

  • House & Senate Advance Bill to Extend Solar Tax Credit

  • Preserving Solar in Iowa

    posted on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 Earlier this session, the Legislature made changes to the Iowa Code that resulted in an unintentional technical error that uncoupled the federal and state solar tax incentives, thus cutting off access to Iowa's solar tax incentive at the end of 2016. This would put solar out of reach for many Iowans and deal a devastating blow to Iowa's growing solar market. Now, the Legislature must move quickly to fix the problem and preserve solar growth in Iowa.
