Early bird registration for the Iowa Environmental Council's 2016 Annual Conference closes this Friday, September 9th. Have you reserved your ticket?
ECOnomics: Dollars, Sense & Sustainability, will be held on Thurs., Oct. 6 at the DMACC Ankeny Campus. This year's conference will explore the bond between our environment, communities and economy. Together, we'll delve into how to seize opportunities to advance policies, programs and practices that offer ecological, economic and societal benefits.
This year's event features over a dozen dynamic speakers including environmental law leader Rob Bilott and ecological economics expert Jon D. Erickson. Jon is a Fellow of the Gund Institute for Ecological Economics and Professor at the Rubenstein School of Environmental and Natural Resources at the University of Vermont. Rob received the 2005 Trial Lawyer of the Year Award from The Trial Lawyers for Public Justice Foundation, and the 2014 Clarence Darrow Award from the mass tort bar. He is a partner at Taft, Stettinius & Hollister.
The conference will also feature networking opportunities, top-notch exhibitors and a delicious lunch. This year's conference has also been approved for 3.25 hours of continuing legal education (CLE) credit.
