Speaking face-to-face with legislators, sharing your story, and showing that there is a broad base of support for natural resources one of the most important ways to help advance programs and policies that protect Iowa’s water, land and air.
Join individuals and organizations from across Iowa on Tuesday, March 22 at the Iowa State Capitol to advocate for Iowa’s natural resources at Environmental Lobby Day & REAP Day at the Capitol 2016.
Last year, more than 250 advocates and over 30 organizations participated in this event and called upon policymakers to support our natural resources through sustained funding. We're hoping this year's event will be our largest day at the Capitol yet.
There is no cost to attend for individual attendees, though an RSVP is requested.
Display opportunities are also available. Organizations that would like a table at Environmental Lobby Day & REAP Day at the Capitol must pre-register to display, even if they have participated in the past.
The impact your presence at the Capitol has cannot be overstated. Your participation in Environmental Lobby Day & REAP Day at the Capitol is a powerful signal to legislators that support for Iowa's natural resources is important to their constituents. Register today to join us.
A schedule for the day, as well as additional information for individual attendees and exhibitors may be found on the Council's website.
